An arrest warrant was issued yesterday afternoon (10/3/2010) for Patsy Booth, age 64, of Little Rock, charging her with misdemeanor negligent homicide in the death of bicyclist Marilyn Fulper, also of Little Rock, on June 20 this year. Booth was driving while distracted when she ran a red light on Cantrell Road at Rodney Parham Road, and struck Fulper. Fulper died of her injuries later that day.

Booth and her attorney turned herself in to the Little Rock Police Department this afternoon (October 5, 2010), and was cited and released.

"Negligent homicide" is a Class A misdemeanor under the Arkansas Criminal Code, and can be punished by up to 1 year in a county penal facility and up to a $1,000 fine.
